Abstract:
As the progress of coronary intervention techniques and materials develops, more and more complicated diseases have been well treated. Unlike some techniques such as rotational atherectomy, drug balloon and absorbable stent, the puncture site selection and the application of sheathless guiding catheters often do not get the attention of most operators. Actually, the puncture site of distal radial artery has lower risk of postoperative bleeding and vascular occlusion, and the application of sheathless guiding catheters reduced the utility of femoral artery during percutaneous coronary intervention, which improves the life quality of patients . This paper reviews the latest techniques of distal radial artery puncture and sheathless guiding catheters in coronary intervention.
